Water-Based Disinfectant

HOCL is one of the oldest disinfectants in the world dating as far back as the 1800s. It can be produced and exists in different concentrations depending on the pH, even in our body, neutrophils of the white blood cells naturally release HOCL to protect us from invading pathogens.

In partnership with Danish Clean Water (DCW), we supply electrochemically activated (ECA) water generators that produce HOCL disinfectant liquid.

Using all-natural ingredients consisting of salt, water and electricity, our patented membrane technology ECA generator converts these ingredients into HOCL that is 100% biodegradable, food-safe, child-safe, pH neutral, non-toxic, shelf-life stable and 99.99% effective against a wide range of bacteria and viruses such as legionella coronavirus.

With a dosing system, we apply HOCL into industrial or commercial water lines and effectively remove and prevent biofilm formation, therefore improve the efficiency and performance of the water system. Resulting not only in a healthier environment but also significant energy savings and improved productivity.

A Preventable Danger

As productivity increases, so does the risk of contamination. Besides transmitting through surfaces and airborne, diseases also spread through water.
Studies have shown that more people succumbed to Legionnaires’ disease than car accidents annually in Europe.

Legionnaires’ disease is caused by Legionella bacteria that thrive in water systems including natural water environments due to amongst other, the buildup of biofilm. The disease can affect anyone, causing pneumonia and primary concerns are those with risk factors such as pre-existing illnesses, age, and smokers. Legionella in water is transmitted via inhalation of small particles of contaminated water from showers, cooling systems and hot-water tanks.

In a facility with extensive water piping systems, Legionella can grow if the water system is not properly maintained. Therefore, it is crucial to keep the water system in optimum condition to prevent risks of contamination. Fortunately, HOCL can eliminate and prevent the formation of biofilm and therefore lowering the risk of Legionnaires’ disease.
